Norfolk Southern releases designs for North Side projects to create room for double-stacked freight cars
Construction is expected to begin in late spring or early summer on the nine-month project to trim beams and make other changes to the Pittsburgh Amtrak station to allow the higher, double-stacked cars to pass through. That work should cause minimal disruption for passengers.
